Ovaltine Blondies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Ovaltine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 1/2 cup mix-ins, if desired (I used a mix of butterscotch chips and toffee bits)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F degrees and line a 9×9 square pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat together the eggs, vanilla and melted butter.
  3. Mix all the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing just until no lumps remain. Stir in mix-ins, if using.
  4. Spread batter into a 9-inch, lightly greased, square baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool completely before cutting.
